Packing is an essential step in preparing for your move.

Whether you choose to pack up your home yourself or hire our experienced packing crew, Camelot is here to help you complete this task and confidently cross it off your moving to-do list!

What Exactly is Packing?

Packing refers to preparing your belongings for Moving Day so they can be safely and efficiently transported to their destination.

Packing includes gathering the contents of cabinets, closets, and bookshelves into boxes and wrapping any fragile items with protective packing material.

All kitchenware, china, countertop items, artwork, lamps, TVs, hanging mirrors, and glass tabletops must be wrapped and packed into a box before they are moved to your new home. You may opt to pack up your home yourself or hire Camelot’s packing services to complete this task.

Packing does not refer to loading the moving van, a technical step that will be handled by your experienced Camelot crew.

Our professional packing crews are experienced in packing up items for both long-distance and short-distance moves.   • FULL-Service PACKING

    Our team can pack a typical home in 1 or 2 days, as opposed to the 4 to 6 weeks it can take to pack up your home yourself. For some households—such as families with many young ones, older ones with physical limitations, large homes with extensive storage, or those with a short window of time before Moving Day—adding on full-service moving and packing services from our talented crew is a must!

    The benefits? Besides saving you 4 to 6 weeks of free time, you also will have access to your belongings up to a few days before Moving Day, when your packing crew will arrive to pack up your home.

  • PARTIAL PACKING Service

    Make the most of the experience and expertise of Camelot’s packing crews while maintaining the DIY spirit by hiring Camelot for a “partial pack.” Use our team to pack and prepare only the most technically demanding rooms and items, such as the kitchen, china cabinet, stemware, lamps, artwork, and TVs.

  • UNPACKING

    Our crew is also available for unpacking services. We’ll remove the empty boxes and empty packing debris, allowing you to settle comfortably into your new home, no matter your schedule.

Packing up your own home is a great way to bring down your moving bill. Not only does it save you billable hours of labor, DIY packing gives you a chance to declutter and decrease your moving volume before Moving Day, which will likewise decrease your total moving cost!

The key to a successful self-pack is starting early! Typically, packing up your home can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks if you and your household pack 4 to 5 boxes each day.
